Asus Eee PC 1011PX and R011PX with Atom N455

Although the trend of the market pushes strongly towards the category of tablet, putting in the larger devices such as netbooks, the more hi-tech companies have not given up an update of the mini-laptop. Asus, one of the leading protagonists in the CeBIT 2011, decided to renew its range of netbooks by introducing low-cost Asus Eee PC model 1011PX (Asus Eee PC R011PX for some European markets), successor to the popular Asus Eee PC 1001PX. This version has an Intel Atom N455 1.66GHz, backed by 1GB of DDR3 memory and 250GB hard drive. The 10.1 inch screen integrates a webcam in the frame of the display.

The connectivity module uses a 802.11b/g/n WiFi, while the installed operating system is Windows 7 Starter edition. With 7-cell battery, Asus Eee PC 1011PX (or R011PX) will be available in the coming weeks at a starting price of $ 449 (including VAT).
