DirectTransFile

The transfer of large files has always been a problem, although in part has been resolved with the sharing sites, even today it is very limited (unless you both have a premium account fee).

If we want to transfer such as a movie in HD from one PC to another, the process is very long, complicated and often limited. There are sites that allow us to upload large files, or a hosting service that allows you to load files on a virtual server, providing a useful link to download the file to another PC. But everything is safe? Of course not, not having an encrypted connection anyone could ‘listen’ and find the link on the internet and so invade our privacy.

Another flaw of these file hosting services is the limit, or the ability to upload files up to a certain size (rarely exceeds the GB in size, and if our file is greater then we should divide it into several parts!).

A major problem is also on the connection speed upload and download, in fact, these hosted at a certain speed limit file uploads on their servers, not a problem for small files, but imagine having to upload 900 MB (hours and hours of waiting and with the possibility of some difficulties during the ‘path’).

DirectTransFile – transfer files from PC to PC with speed and safety

Fortunately someone has thought about these problems and created DirectTransFile, a software that allows sharing of files from PC to PC, without going through a virtual server. The only connection to the server to request a code, which will guarantee the security of file transfer.

Unlike the leading file hosting services, DirectTransFile imposes no size limit, gives the possibility to pause the file transfer and resume it later. To run the software must be running on both PCs, as it is a direct connection.

The program is free and easy to download, simply connect to the official website (http://www.directransfile.com) and press the download button.

Once we start the file download the file dtf.exe, then press on ‘Create new upload sessions’, in practice we create a new session load. Drag the files you want to share the screen. Then click on ‘Register’ and you will be assigned a code (like a password), this should be sent to the other person to whom we intend to transfer the file.

Who should receive the file instead, will initiate DirectTransFile, paste the code in the space (box, ‘Star download new’) and click on the arrow at the top left. Now the download is started, press OK and the program will be minimized in the taskbar.
