Lexmark has introduced Release Print, a new service for the integrated management of business printing processes. This solution is based on a cloud infrastructure and offers a high degree of flexibility. The physical printing devices are connected to a remote data center, which in turn coordinates the print queue of all documents sent by the enabled devices. The result is a network completely disengaged from the physical place where printers are located and accessible from any location where a network connection is available.
Lexmark Print Release has an extended support for mobile devices. With Lexmark’s Mobile Printing application available for iPhone OS and Android devices you can enable Apple iPad and iPhone and Android smartphones to tablets and remote printing. The application takes care to define the documents to be sent to press, to adjust the general settings and select the output device.
Print Release also supports printing via mail, a solution that makes the system compatible with any device capable of sending e-mails such as BlackBerry smartphones. In this mode of operation is sufficient to attach a document to email to get its release.
