MeeGo Smart TV Working Group

The plan to Tablets and Smartphones MeeGo sat through it was probably worked not so good, got out, especially now that Nokia, for a small Microsoft deal. Nevertheless, the Linux Foundation has now announced the MeeGo founded Smart TV Working Group to have the meets at least twice a year to act on plans for the product. So far, Intel, Nokia, Nokia Siemens and Sigma Designs and other smaller businesses on board. Already next month there will be a first meeting where the software components to be discussed at standardization, such as Qt.

Still, the other companies such as LG and Samsung, not all too great a foothold in the area and MeeGo a very good chance it could have if you could just plug in a USB stick to the devices. We should be excited.
