Natalie Portman is pregnant and engaged to ballet star Benjamin Millepied, whom she met while working on “Black Swan.”
The unexpected news comes as Portman is poised to score big this award season for her performance in Darren Aronofsky’s dance thriller, which Millepied choreographed. Portman and Millepied have several scenes together in the film as well.
The 29-year-old actress is due in 2011, People reports.
Millepied, born in Bordeaux, France, is a principal dancer and choreographer at the New York City Ballet.
The actress has a slew of projects to promote in the new year — which will no doubt bring exciting maternity fashion and dish on her cravings — including “No Strings Attached” with Ashton Kutcher and “Your Highness” with James Franco.
